translate plus visits the New Bulgarian University

translate plus has opened a new office in Bulgaria and as part of our increasing presence in Sofia, our directors Robert Timms and Per Severinsen recently visited the New Bulgarian University (NBU).

Founded in 1991, NBU is the first private university in Bulgaria, offering tuition in Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programmes, as well as various forms of continuing education such as language courses – something that translate plus feels very passionate about.

During our visit, translate plus was kindly hosted by Associate Professor Boris Naimushin, Head of the English Studies Department at NBU. Robert and Per gave a talk to a group of language students to provide an insight into the world of an international translation business and the interesting and varied career options available in the industry. As language specialists with expertise in pioneering translation-management software, translate plus answered questions about language technology, project management and the world of commercial localisation. During their visit, Robert and Per also enjoyed a tour of the facilities and the university’s vibrant art collection!

translate plus is proud to now have a presence in Sofia and we are currently hiring for project managers, in-house translators and other operational staff to join our growing team there. If you would like to learn more about our employment opportunities, please get in touch!
