It’s a good start to the New Year for translate plus. Not only have we just launched a new gaming-specific brand, Jackpot Translation, but we’ve also been included in London & Partners’ list of 10 International Growth Heroes.

We’re delighted to be included in such a high-profile list. It shows that our hard work and efforts to grow and expand into international markets have been recognised and, we hope, it’s something for other aspiring businesses to learn from.

London & Partners, funded by the Mayor of London and a network of commercial partners, is the official promotional company for London. They attract events, visitors, businesses, congresses and students to the capital. Their aim is to build London’s international reputation and to attract investment and visitor spend, which create jobs and growth.

London & Partners’ rationale for this list is:

“From several independent sources, including the Queen’s Awards for Export Achievement, the Sunday Times International and SME Export Track, UKTI, the Founders’ Forum, the SVC2UK Scale Up Club and national business award schemes, we have compiled a list of 10 London-based companies that are demonstrating long-term, sustainable growth in international revenues and who are role models for other companies with international ambitions.”

This is just what we need to kick start 2016 and to make sure this year is one to remember!

How have we achieved this growth? Our directors, Robert Timms and Per Severinsen, share their thoughts on this.

Growing a business requires a strong focus on consistently outstanding customer service,” said Robert. “To do this internationally requires that we take into account the business objectives of our clients: not only by providing optimal language cover for their regional or global goals, but also by catering appropriately for the differing local requirements of their own offices and employees.”

We need to have the right people in the right locations, which means a collaborative approach among our team of outstanding colleagues,” added Per. “And cutting-edge technology, such as our i plus® translation management system, plays a big part in seamlessly bringing all aspects of our service together, wherever our staff or clients are in the world.”

We’re honoured to have been chosen for this, when we think about how many exporting businesses there are in London, to be chosen as one of the top 10 makes us very excited! It leaves us wondering what else 2016 has in store for translate plus…. Watch this space!
