One of the things that makes translate plus a great place to work is that it’s such a culturally diverse workplace, with staff from over 30 countries – including the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, Greece, Poland, the USA, Ukraine, Turkey, China and India!
Adrian MetcalfIT Director
Adrian studied BSc Computer Software Engineering at Nottingham Trent University before securing an internship at New York, “a fantastic opportunity to get to know the city and be part of the fast paced lively city.” Adrian enjoys challenging adventures, such as treks to the top of Kilimanjaro to raise money for charity.
Nicole MayesHR & Training Manager
Nicole attended the University of Westminster where she studied a BA in Chinese with Linguistic and an MA in Bilingual Translation. Nicole’s favourite city is Edinburgh during Fringe, “do I need to say more?” Nicole is a keen martial artist and has been since the age of nine.
Lauren BroderickSenior Marketing Manager
Lauren has a degree in Fashion with Photography from Southampton Solent University. She spent eight weeks in Cusco, Peru volunteering in an orphanage and did the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Fun fact: Lauren is getting married in the same place as Pippa Middleton, “which basically makes me a royal now!”
Svenja MüllerEuropean Sales Director
Per lives in Italy and studied Translation and Interpreting at Aarhus University in Denmark. A passionate Leeds United fan, Per’s favourite city is New York because of its “fantastic vibe.” His favourite film is Jonathan Demme’s Silence of the Lambs.
Liina PuustOperations Director
Liina has an MA in German linguistics and is a qualified German teacher in Estonia. She has translated five published books from German into Estonian and has a talent for the accordion. One of her favourite trips was backpacking in Australia.
Umer NizamFinance Manager
Umer - who is ACCA qualified - earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Pakistan before studying Applied Accounting at Oxford Brookes University. His favourite city is Lisbon, “as I am a seafood lover they have fresh seafood, beautiful beaches, a positive vibe and amazing weather.” The Godfather is Umer’s favourite film and he says that travelling, “makes me realise how beautiful this world is.”

Our project management teams represent the central point of our service offering, always going the extra mile, making sure our clients receive the highest quality service and results. Our project managers are friendly, professional and extremely organised and all have a strong linguistic background coupled with a high level of technical knowledge. Our in-house localisation engineering, QA (quality assurance), DTP (desktop publishing), linguistic resources and translator teams work closely with our project managers for the best possible results.

Our fantastic in-house developers ensure our clients receive truly bespoke technical solutions, no matter how challenging or ground-breaking they may need to be. They are the brains behind the regular enhancements you will see within i plus, our translation management system, as well as working on internal development tasks which often end up as industry-leading solutions. Backed up by solid IT infrastructure and desktop support, we are at the cutting edge of localisation technology.
Keeping a clear overview of finances is essential to running a sustainable and efficient business. Across credit control, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, we use our internally developed applications and industry-standard accounting software to ensure invoices are issued in line with our clients' requirements, that suppliers are paid on time, and that any queries are handled promptly and professionally. Staff payroll, pensions administration and bank reconciliation are just some of the other responsibilities which our accounts team handle smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

Our smallest – though hugely important! – team ensures that translate plus runs smoothly as a professional workplace in line with laws and regulations as well as the requirements of the ISO 9001 and ISO 17000 standards.
