Last year the Gibraltar Football Association appointed Maverick – an innovative integrated agency – to coordinate and launch their bid to become a recognised member of UEFA. As a leading language services provider who work with over 200 languages, translate plus were chosen to translate the marketing materials into 41 languages including Faroese, Georgian, Maltese and Hebrew. This involved work on letters, slogans and a book which was sent to the Presidents and General Secretaries of all football associations of every member state of UEFA. With our accurate translations and Maverick’s creative campaigns, Gibraltar won their bid to become the 54th member of UEFA – and have now won their first victory, with a 1–0 win against Malta!
