As part of our environmental policy, translate plus are proud to announce that we are now working towards achieving the ISO 14001 Environmental Management certificate, awarded to companies committed to continually reducing their environmental impact.
The ISO 14001 certificate ensures a company has the most effective environmental management system in place to reduce its environmental impact. As a socially responsible organisation, translate plus view this as the next step towards becoming a more sustainable and carbon-neutral business.
Liina Puust, responsible for the ISO 14001 implementation, said: “At translate plus we already take our impact on the environment very seriously and we try to reduce this wherever possible – whether that’s encouraging our staff to recycle via our office recycling bins, reducing our reliance on paper though a fully online accounting system or providing a secure area for staff to lock their bikes so they can ride to work.”
Speaking about the impact which the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificate will have at translate plus, Liina added: “Implementing an EMS will help us to increase our sense of responsibility to the environment, something we feel strongly about at translate plus, both as a company and as individuals. Having procedures in place that help us to control our waste management and assess our daily environmental impact will help shape our efforts to continually improve our business and also create a better world for all of us.”
Expect to see the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificate on the translate plus website in the near future!
