translate plus supports many large organisations by providing interpreting services for a wide range of conferences, events and face-to-face meetings. So when the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) required interpreting services for an upcoming conference, translate plus were the natural choice.

The two-day conference, a meeting of the partner countries involved in the United Nations REDD+ Partnership initiative, took place in Bonn, Germany, over two days in May 2012. The conference provided a platform for over seventy countries to discuss the issues of carbon emissions and climate change. translate plus provided 6 interpreters focusing on the major European languages.

With over 140 participants, UNEP not only required interpreters, but a full-scale solution which included all the equipment used during the conference. Therefore translate plus organised and provided a full set of equipment, including headsets, receivers, various types of microphones, a PA system, projectors, screens and even printing facilities.

After the event UNEP offered very positive feedback, commenting that “the interpreters and services supplied were excellent”.
