After a successful presentation at the Nordic Translation Industry Forum (NTIF) last year, we are delighted to be returning to NTIF, to present together with our client, global consumer electronics brand Jabra.
NTIF 2013 will be held in Stockholm on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 November. The Nordic Translation Industry Forum provides a fantastic opportunity for those involved in the language services industry to get together and network, discussing challenges and solutions as well as exchanging ideas on industry trends and technology.
With offices in Sweden and Denmark, translate plus are very much a key player within the Nordic market. Therefore we value this opportunity to speak amongst our peers and will be presenting with the Online Marketing Director of Jabra, showcasing our unique Sitecore integration solution, which we have customised for Jabra’s specific requirements.
Jabra, one of the world’s leading suppliers of hands-free communication solutions, had previously struggled to achieve consistency throughout their online messaging. When it came to updating their local websites, including any technical documentation, there were over 200,000 words to translate into 15 languages, totalling over 3.5 million words. We will take a look at how we integrated Jabra’s CMS platform, Sitecore, with i plus – the translation management system from translate plus – so that Jabra can seamlessly manage data transfer, access memories and glossaries online, see real-time reports on project status, and achieve outstanding multilingual SEM results.

During his 3 years at translate plus, Anders has been responsible for winning contracts with many of the largest Scandinavian brands, such as Novozymes, Jabra, Oticon, Bestseller (e.g. Jack & Jones and Vero Moda) and ECCO Shoes. He has been very involved in the development of i plus, the translation management system from translate plus, and is interested in how automation will drive the translation industry forward.
Michael Harboe, Director, Online Marketing at GN Netcom A/S, Jabra
Michael Harboe is the head of an innovative global marketing team at Jabra, driving the aggressive evolution of Jabra’s global online efforts towards both the consumer and business markets. Previous to that he was the Marketing Manager at FOSS Market Communication, covering both online and offline global marketing activities. He has worked with traditional and online communication for 14 years, mainly for engineering companies with complex products and knowledge offerings to the global marketplace.
