Today is the launch of the Mayor’s International Business Programme and we’re very excited to be included within the first cohort! The programme has been launched to support 800 high growth companies in London over the next three years to increase their international business potential. This first cohort includes 50 companies within the Tech, Life Sciences and Urban/Creative sectors and will be run over the next 12 months.
The programme has been set up by London & Partners and is sponsored by the Mayor of London. It includes a number of sessions to help businesses expand further into international markets. We’ll have access to:
- Monthly workshops to gain knowledge of conducting business in overseas markets and meet
other companies who are facing similar business challenges - Mentoring in key overseas markets
- Tailored trade missions to overseas cities
- Opportunities in preferred overseas markets
One half of our directors, Robert Timms, is attending the event today at City Hall, where he will be introduced to the programme, and will talk about our company needs, barriers and experiences, as well as networking and hearing from the Mayor of London himself, Boris Johnson.
We’re really pleased to have been included in this and it’s a great opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise in markets that we haven’t already conquered. We’re looking forward to learning more about these markets from experienced professionals and to taking part in all that the Mayor’s International Business Programme has to offer.
