translate plus become independently certified to ISO 18587:2017

Published on April 15th, 2020

translate plus are very happy to announce that we have been independently certified to the ISO 18587:2017 standard which sets out the conditions and requirements for the post-editing of machine translation output.

We are one of the very few language companies to receive this certification, which complements our existing ISO 14001, ISO 17100 and ISO 9001 certifications.

Holding this standard means that all clients can fully trust us with their MT projects as we have established a set of rigorous and effective post-editing and QA processes to enhance the quality of standard machine translation output.

This great news coincides with the launch of our AI-powered translation solution, AI plus, which has been specifically designed to help businesses effectively manage and augment the quality of machine translated content.

AI plus, part of i plus®, enables users to get multilingual content translated instantly and safely with ‘light’ or ‘full’ post-editing human work as an option to enhance the quality of the output. It can also be integrated into existing workflows or plugged in to some of the most popular machine translation engines in the market – whether that’s Microsoft Translator, DeepL, Moses, Google Translate or Omnifluent.
