The World Bank choose translate plus to provide interpreting services again

desktop publishing services

On Wednesday 5 December the REDD+ Partnership, part of the World Bank Group, held a conference in Doha, Qatar. Having used translate plus at previous events, and being very pleased with the quality and results, the World Bank Group again chose us to provide high-level simultaneous interpreting services for this conference.

The REDD+ Partnership was set up to play a key role in the global battle against climate change. With an agenda that aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote the benefits of biodiversity and sustainable livelihoods as well as sustainable development, the terminology used by participants at this event was very particular and highly specialised.

For the event the REDD+ Partnership required not only interpreters with an excellent understanding of the subject matter, but also interpreters trained in the expert task of simultaneous interpreting in the three language combinations of English–French, English–Spanish and Spanish–French.

At translate plus we believe that no two interpreting jobs are the same. We understand the importance of sourcing interpreters that have the particular skills you require, as well as a high level of knowledge and understanding of the topic to be covered. For the World Bank REDD+ Partnership event we did just this, ensuring the event organisers and speakers could concentrate on running a great conference knowing their discussions were accurately and fluently communicated to all of the participants. We received some excellent feedback reflecting a job very well done!
