translate plus co-founder and director, Robert Timms spoke to ‘Full Set Breakfast’ host, Paul Ross on talkRADIO this morning.

Robert was on the national talk radio station – which goes out to over 224,000 weekly listeners – to discuss how exporting has benefited the business.

The translate plus director was asked, when approaching companies how do you persuade them that your translation services are the future?

“A lot of it is around our technology, in terms of not replacing the translators with another ‘Google Translate’, instead enabling them to be able to send and receive content for translation more quickly, more easily and ultimately save them money.”

When asked how machines (machine translation) are able to translate creative communication such as poetry Robert told Paul Ross that: “Our technology doesn’t actually do the translation, it makes the job easier for our translators.”

Robert concluded: “It’s about marrying the technology with the knowledge, experience and the cultural references that only humans can really grasp and therefore communicate into another language.”
