ISO 17100

This month, we passed surveillance audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 17100, yet again.

A QMS International auditor visited the London office to verify that our management systems are in compliance with the relevant ISO standard practice.

According to the official, who made the visit, we displayed a: “Well led Quality Management System with thorough quality assurance policies and practices in place.”

The certification auditor also checked to ensure that actions were being taken to meet quality standards and that the objectives of the organisation [translate plus] are suitable.

We’re pleased to announce that we passed with zero non-compliances.

What the audits mean

ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognised quality management standard. By passing we’ve demonstrated that our organisation is customer focused and committed to delivering high quality services.

By adopting ISO 14001 we have demonstrated our commitment to protecting the environment. ISO 14001 sets the standard for Environmental Management Systems.

The new internationally recognised ISO 17100 standard – formerly EN 15038, only recognised at European level – is specifically for translation service providers and covers the essential processes for providing translation services.

It establishes the necessary steps it takes to deliver a consistently high quality service. This includes how to manage people, train translators, establish core processes and use technology effectively. Its aim is to outline the service a client will receive within a recognised set of procedures that are carried out to best practice.
