Account Manager (Full-time)

Job Description

As the Account Manager for the Sales division at translate plus, this full-time position requires pure account management of current clients and sales experience to sell our language services and technology solutions to them. You should be capable of managing a portfolio of various clients. Candidates must come from translation companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking commercial and strategic responsibility for existing and new key client accounts.
  • Handling a diverse range of clients based in different countries.
  • Growing the business relationship through 360-degree approaches, i.e. proactively reaching out to different stakeholders within an organisation/group, e.g. cold calls, warm calls, obtaining referrals etc.
  • Assisting with contract negotiations, tenders, RFIs, RFQs and RFPs as needed.
  • Adding value to business relationships by getting involved in core projects and serving as an escalation point for complaints or other matters.
  • Scheduling and attending face-to-face meetings and conference calls with our customers to discuss their needs and requirements in more depth (e.g. client review meetings, escalation meetings, new business discussions and other matters).
  • Being available for occasional business travels to attend face-to-face meetings.
  • Scheduling webinars/online demos to present our technology portfolio.
  • Scheduling regular customer satisfaction calls and review meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Supporting the onboarding of new departments and stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the quoting process when receiving requests from clients, as well as advising them on capabilities, turnaround times, costs and other matters.
  • Preparing presentations for client meetings to a high standard.
  • Preparing and customising proposals and white papers as requested.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years+ of account management experience from within the industry
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong ongoing business relationships.
  • Experience with tenders/RFIs/RFQs/RFPs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment, demonstrating confidence in taking the lead when necessary.
  • Taking pride in delivering a high-quality service
  • It would be advantageous if you are fluent in German.
