The viscous cyber-attack that has hit well over 150 countries since Friday has been hailed as a “wake up call” to governments, according to Microsoft.

The computer ransomware virus has been spreading across hundreds of thousands of computer systems across the world – including hospitals, rail networks, and large firms.

Users are being urged to protect themselves by being wary of malicious email attachments, and by checking your computer for Windows Updates.
