Also known as on-site interpreting or interpretation, face-to-face interpreting involves a professional interpreter being present in person to facilitate a discussion in two different languages. The two languages may both be spoken (e.g. English and German), or one of them may be signed (e.g. English and American Sign Language). - While those of us in the business use technical terms like consecutive, simultaneous, whispered, chuchotage and liaison interpreting, don't worry if this seems confusing—just let us know the nature of the assignment and our interpreting consultants will talk you through how to achieve the best outcome.
- Our services cater for every scenario, including one-on-one meetings, focus group discussions, factory and site tours, healthcare appointments, employee forums and works councils and large international conferences.
- We can cater for specific requirements relating to security clearances and gender, culture and religious backgrounds—something which can be essential for the sensitive provision of public-sector services, especially in healthcare, prison and law-enforcement scenarios.
- We can provide interpreters for court cases, tribunals and other legal settings, with our interpreters signing witness statements where required.
- For conferences, employee forums and other large events, we can provide interpreting booths, recording facilities and other equipment, as well as translating written meeting minutes after the event.
